Best Things to do in Tenerife in July 2023

What are the best things to do in Tenerife in July 2015? Well, July is the month with the most beach celebrations, as the patron saint of fisherman is honoured continuously on the dates around 16th July.

The Virgen del Carmen is always carried by a procession from her shrine to the beach where the fishermen’s boats await her, decorated with small, coloured flags.

A raffle chooses some fishermen and the boat on which she is put to the lively sound of a brass band and boat horns to begin a colourful, lively sea procession.

When this ceremony ends, the Virgen returns to dry land and is placed on an altar on the shore to be revered. Fireworks are set off from the water, and you’d have to wait until the following year to be able to enjoy such lively celebrations again.

But as well as this traditional, markedly religious holiday there are other events, concerts and celebrations which we think might interest you for things to do in Tenerife in July 2015. We have chosen those which we think would be most interesting for the majority of people. Obviously there are many other events, but these are the stand-out ones (at least for us). However, if you think something is missing (or if we’ve made a mistake with any of the dates) then please let us know by leaving us a comment.

At last but by no means least, you can do many of the activities which are normally available in Tenerife.
